[Poetry] Life’s Morsels

When life doesn’t care
There’s nothing you can do
Morsels lie right there
More than just a few.
So come to the table
Bring your hunger
I’ll help you till you’re able.
There’s some you might prefer
Still, save your strength
Tomorrow comes with greater.
With patience comes wealth
And a roof that’s warmer.
Fight on, young one!
Don’t neglect a crumb
And when it’s all said and done
Look back on how far you’ve come.

This is part of a personal challenge to write and publish something new everyday. I hope you really enjoy it. Regardless, if you want to see more, please follow. If you don’t want to, that’s fine. I still hope you enjoyed it and let me know if there’s anything I could of done better.

[Poetry] High Tea

I sit to sup
With a meal and tea
I bask in its sweet aroma
As I take a sip,
Weight of day’s troubles
Fall off with my coat.
My family sits beside me
Oh, what a blessing they be
We talk of our day
Just passing the time
Of school/ work/ every which thing.
I know this can’t last
But I pray it does
I know no happiness
If any of this were less.
